The history of the company dates back to 1956, when it was formed by joining companies Montaaz, Vasar and Metallprodukt . In 1960 the company was renamed Tallinn Metal Products Factory.
In 1969, the Production Co-operative “Vasar” was formed on the basis of the Tallinn Metal Products Factory.
TK “Vasar” produced a very wide range of different products. For example: gardening inventory, galvanised tin containers, lawn furniture, door locks and much more.
In cooperation with a Finnish company, a galvanizing plant was built and opened in 1985 in Maardu, on the Vana-Narva road. Mainly the visible parts of door locks were covered with nickel-chrome and the lock bodies were galvanised.

During the privatisation process in 1991, the company was transformed into a public limited company and in 1994 into a public limited company.

From December 2021, the company will be part of the Bestnet Group and from November 2022 it will be called BNT Galva OÜ. We outsource over 200 000m2 of metal coating per year on five production lines to more than 350 companies in Estonia and our neighbouring countries.

Bestnet Group was founded in 1990 as Bestnet AS, a company known primarily as a manufacturer of TIKI and AKU branded trailers.
