To help the customer

Please provide the following information when sending your request:

• Customer name
• Product code of the detail
• part material
• type of coating desired
• coating thickness in µm and tolerances allowed
• a drawing of the part with information on the dimensions, surface area and/or weight of the part.
• specific requirements for visual detail
• information on whether the part is painted after surface coating (different treatment)
• specific packaging requirements or packaging instructions 
• batch size and annual needs 

Factors affecting the price:

• the price for plating on rack is based on the surface area of the part to be plated (^m2).
• price includes palletizing on a universal pallet
  in case of special palletizing a new pallet has to be produced
  one-time cost will be added price of pallet starts from 100 €/piece +km.
• cleanliness of the substrate
  parts with particularly dirty, rusty or oily surfaces require an extra wash with an extended programme;
  the service costs 1.5 times the normal price.
• previously galvanised or tinned parts can have the old coating removed and recoated;
  the cost of the service is 1.5 times the normal price.

• coating thickness in µm and tolerances allowed
• batch size and annual needs
• specific packaging requirements
• galvanising and nickel-plating of small parts can be carried out by the drum method (min. quantity 15 kg).
• the price of barrel plating is based on the weight of the parts (kg)

NB! After galvanizing the test batch or in case of changes in the factors affecting the price, the price of the service will be recalculated.
For orders with less than 4 m2 of parts, a minimum charge will apply:
– zinc plating and rst passivation 80 €
– tinning, chrome plating and nickel plating 100 €
For parts requiring additional cleaning(marker, glue, adhesive, oil), a charge of 0,50 € per part will apply.

Please send the items to be coated to the address Vana-Narva mnt. 1, Maardu. Attach a delivery note to the parcel.
Place the details on a euro tray or in boxes that can be lifted with a forklift.
Send the purchase order to sales@bntgalva.ee with the following information:

• Customer name
• Product code of the detail
• quantity of detail
• the type of coating and coating thickness µm required
• desired delivery time
• measurement report requirement (extra service 10€ +km).

NB! When sending a new part to plating for the first time, please refer to the section “Sending a request”.

The openings in the details of the design are used:

• for hanging details
• for the emergence of liquids from inside the part
• to avoid air bubbles in tight corners

NB! A small trace may remain on the racking area after electroplating.
In the case of a visually important surface, the permitted and suitable hanging areas must be agreed in advance during the quotation process.

Factors influencing the achievement of a high quality electroplating result:

• surface finish and cleanliness of the part
• the part must be free of paint and varnish
• without weld marker inscriptions
• pre-cleaned silicone spray (better not to use it)
• removed the protective film and cleaned the glue
• the detail must not have closed corners 
• if the part is ‘vessel-shaped’, there is a risk of air pockets where the surface coating does not reach.
• there must be no enclosed areas; no risk of screening, no surface cover there
• If the part is painted after surface coating, this information must be added to the purchase order; we use a corresponding passivation solution treatment program that ensures better paint adhesion.
• there is a high risk of liquid seeping out of the joint or between poor quality welds, which could damage the coating, due to the porous welds and the spot welded parts.
• the surface of the parts must not have a layer of slag, which can be formed during the processing of metals (e.g. laser cutting), and there is no adhesion of the coating on this layer.

If the surface-treated product is damaged due to BNT Galva’s activities, BNT Galva undertakes to carry out the work free of charge.
BNT Galva has no other obligations to compensate for damages.
